Smarter Bicep Exercises - Two heads are better than one.
Because your biceps consist of two parts, ensuring you work both parts with either a combined exercise or individual exercises. That way you build the width and height of your biceps.
Here's what Steve had to say.
"The biceps have two heads to the muscle: outside and top. To fully strengthen and build the biceps, you need to target both heads. Below are two fitness weightlifting exercises that do that. The barbell curls work the outside making the biceps look wider and the hammer curls work the top, making the biceps look bigger."

Smarter Bicep Exercises – The Beginning
I weight trained for many years on and off with varying degrees of success. However one thing I could never seem to master no matter what bicep exercises I tried, was large and defined biceps. Initially I started weight training because I thought it would attract women, and in truth, it did. However now I’m married, I do it because I like to look good for me and for my wife. My poor wife, she puts up with a lot. See I’m a morning person, and no, I’m not someone who is full of life in the morning and quite frankly I find people like that irritating, not because I dislike them but because I envy them grr. No, in the morning I’m completely useless until I’ve had my first coffee and even then I’m still a bit clumsy. But all the same, once I’ve had my coffee I go and do my weights. I’m not particularly quiet about it as it’s hard enough to be quiet with cast iron weights at the best of times. Luckily for me my gym is at the opposite end of the house to my bedroom. O, wait a minute, I was talking about bicep exercises not my lovely wife, back to topic.
Very recently I’ve been on a bit of a mission to learn as much as possible about biceps and what makes them tick. While I was sat in the bath one day I thought, "wouldn’t it be a big waste if I’d spent all of that time and money learning about biceps and bicep exercises to keep it to myself?" So, here we are my very own blog to help you achieve that all important goal of bigger bicep’s. Now I’m not going to lie to you, I believe in the phrase ‘There is no such thing as a free lunch’. Unless of course your my next door neighbours parents who stumbled on what they thought was a night barbecue in Central Park. Unfortunately when they went to pay they discovered that not only was it free it was also for the homeless. I have bought a lot of material and most of it was rubbish and generally not worth the paper it was printed on, but on the same note some of the information was like gold dust. Where I can, I will give you the information in this blog, but sometimes you just have to spend a couple of dollars. Obviously if I recommend something for you to buy it will be the gold dust and not the rubbish, well in my opinion anyway.
So, on with the show...The first book I bought was recommended by a friend, he said if you’re going to start body building you should read Arnold Schwarzenegger’s book. To which I replied, O you mean the guy from Terminator, I know he’s got big muscles but he’s not exactly an authority on the subject is he, duh. How stupid did I feel when he told me that Arnie was Five-time Mr Universe, seven-time Mr Olympia, and Mr World. So I bought the book and it was an inspiration. But I’m not going to bore you and go on about the book. However if you do want to know more about it, you can check it out here at Amazon - Arnold: The Education of a Bodybuilder.
Anyway, that’s enough about books. Onto the best bicep exercise of all time;
The Chin-up is the big daddy of bicep exercises. Because this bicep exercise allows you to use the most weight. Plus, this exercise uses extra muscle fibers because it involves moving your entire body instead of just moving your hands.
To perform a chin-up; place your hands on the chin-up bar relatively close to each other. Your palms should be facing you. Then simply pull your body up. When you can do ten reps or more, it’s time to get a belt and start strapping some weight to your waist.
Try these bicep exercises and your muscles should be growing in no time.
And on that sunshiny note I’ll leave it there for now.
Good luck and watch out for night barbecues.
